We frequently overlook the people we work with; always remember to dress appropriately for the workplace. What should I wear? Is it corporate business or casual? Who are your coworkers and bosses? What works in one office might not work in another. If you work in a corporate setting, be careful to dress professionally (pantsuit or skirt suit depending on the corporate culture). If blazers are not your thing, be sure to have a good pair of business pants on the go. Therefore, it’s important to change your clothing to fit the work environment.
Invest in a go-to piece of fall outerwear.
 Your fall wardrobe needs at least one versatile piece of outerwear, be it a denim jacket, plaid shirt, cardigan, trench coat, or leather jacket. Choose something lightweight that can be stuffed in a tote or worn around your waist for easy layering. Fall coats don’t have to be as warm as winter coats, so take advantage of this to experiment with fashion style.
Find the perfect pair of fall boots.
With the arrival of cooler weather comes the time to switch sandals for boots and booties. Make your summer dress or denim skirt fall-ready with suede ankle boots, heeled knee-high boots, or combat boots.
Dress up a little for work.
As autumn approaches, it’s time to wear suits and other workwear staples again after a summer of dressing more casually. Make the transition easier by wearing a blazer with a white T-shirt and flowy midi skirt cinched at the waist.
Pair a summer piece with something warm.
You can layer most summer pieces for fall. You can wear your crop tops with high-waisted jeans and a cardigan or layer them over a slip dress and a turtleneck. The majority of summer dresses can be worn over a short- or long-sleeved top to keep warm (depending on your location). An oversize button-down or long cardigan will look great layered under a tank top.
